Science students sign a lab safety contract provided by the school, but what do all those rules really mean?
Your Task
Your team will deconstruct the SMS lab safety contract and create an illustrated set of safety rules (anchors) that you think are most important. You anchors will be uploaded to the blog on the website to help other students keep their skin, brains and lives safe.
Step 1: View the video below. As you watch, use a whiteboard to make a list of lab rules that seem to be broken.
Step 2: Share with your team the items you've written on your whiteboard. Decide on the TOP 10 safety rules for science class.
Step 3: Decide on a platform for your team safety rule anchors (use google slides, pictochart, or some other platform).
Step 4: If using an online platform, one person needs to open the online presentation, then share it with all members of your team plus Mrs. Sybert.
Step 5: As a team, design your 10 safety anchor. Be sure to use the presentation guidelines and rubric to make sure you product is complete.
Step 6: After completing your anchor, share the on the class blog page below.
